Granny Smith Caramel Apples
Ingredients
| 12 | small organic Granny Smith apples | | 1 Pound | yummy, buttery authentic caramel |
| 12 | Popsicle Sticks |
| - | Lightly oiled baking sheet or waxed paper for cooling |
Directions
Insert Popsicle sticks firmly into stem top of apples. Melt caramel over a low heat, stirring continuously. Remove from heat when caramels have melted into a smooth liquid. Tilt pot and spoon caramel over apples to completely cover. Work quickly before the caramel cools and solidifies. If caramel gets too solid, stir over low heat until its workable again. If using additional toppings, dip apples in them immediately. Rest apples on oiled tray or waxed paper. When finished, refrigerate to cool. Eat within three days. For gifts, wrap cooled apples in plastic or cellophane bags and tie with ribbon.
