Husk, Grill and Season Summer Corn to Perfection
We're passing along a few kernels of corn knowledge to help you make the most of summer's bounty!
Grilling Corn — Are Your Ears Burning?
Ours aren’t, because we have a little trick! We keep a small spray bottle of water near the grill to douse any flare-ups or to spray corn if the silk catches. This way, you can just throw your corn (no need to presoak or husk) on a low to medium-hot grill and rotate occasionally for 6-10 minutes.
The corn is done when you are able to squeeze the ear and the kernels give a bit. Simply husk, butter and serve. Your corn will have a wonderfully sweet roasted flavor and you’ll have a way to grill it for ears to come!
Beyond Butter — Creative Corn Toppings
Got the seven-ear itch? Why not change things up a bit by topping your next serving of corn on the cob with one of these unique suggestions:
- Spread with guacamole and/or salsa
- Sprinkle with cinnamon & Sugar In The Raw® (turbinado sugar)
- Blend equal parts smoked paprika, brown sugar and ancho chili powder with a squeeze of fresh lime and dab it on
- Give OLD BAY® Seasoning a try!
