Sweet Summer Treats In 3 Simple Steps
Quick! Pick a pint of your favorite ice cream, gelato, sorbet or dairy-free frozen dessert. Decide on a dozen of your favorite cookies. Now, all you need is a cutting board and a knife to craft this classic summer treat!
- Lightly warm your cookies of choice (they’ll harden once stacked with the ice cream). Five to 10 seconds in the microwave will do the trick!
- With a sharp knife, slice horizontally and cut the pint of ice cream into four equivalent circles. Make sure that the ice cream is firm, not melting.
- Stack the cookies around each slice, remove the paper and enjoy! Not ready to serve your sammies? Wrap them in wax paper and pop into the freezer.
Tip: For smooth slicing, run your knife under warm tap water for 30 seconds.
