Stilton Burger

Serves: 4
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cook Time: 10 min.

Here’s one of our signature recipes for Stilton Burgers — simple, straightforward, pure flavor. Ideal to add a little gourmet cool to your cookout, as long as you resist the urge to pile on any of the usual toppings. And do resist!

  1. Form meat into 4 4-inch by 1-inch patties. The enemy to any burger is over working. Resist the urge to overpack your burger. A dense burger is not a tender burger.
  2. Season the patties with salt and pepper and place on a medium-high heat grill. As they are cooking, do not press them down or squish; you don’t want to waste all the juicy goodness. Let them do their thing for 5 minutes, then flip.
  3. Let them cook for 3 minutes longer, until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Top with Stilton and cook an additional minute. Transfer patties to plate.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, place on buns and serve.
