Goat Cheese and Fig Crostini with Honey and Walnuts

Directions:

  • 20 pieces French baguette, thinly sliced on a bias (approx. 1 loaf)
  • 10 oz. Market District goat cheese
  • 5 figs, fresh, thinly sliced in 4 pieces per fig
  • ¼ cup walnuts, toasted, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. local honey
  • 1 Tbsp. thyme, fresh, minced
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper, freshly cracked
  1. Lay the sliced baguette out on a tray.
  2. Spread about a ½ oz. of goat cheese evenly on each baguette slice.
  3. Place 1 slice fig on top of the goat cheese.
  4. Garnish each piece with crushed walnuts, a drizzle of honey, minced fresh thyme and cracked black pepper.
