Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate Matzo

Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange matzo on baking trays lined with parchment.
Melt butter and sugar in a small pot over low heat until melted, about 5-7 minutes; whisk until creamy. Spread a thin layer of mixture over each matzo. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle even amount of chopped chocolate over warm caramel. Allow matzo to sit until chocolate softens, about 3 minutes.
Spread chocolate diagonally across matzo and sprinkle evenly with salt while chocolate is still warm. Allow to cool, and then place in refrigerator or freezer for about 10-15 minutes to harden. Break into pieces and keep in an airtight container until ready to serve. Makes 12 servings based on 2 oz. per portion.
Chef's Tip: Experiment using other salts from our Bulk Foods Department, such as pink Himalayan, Hawaiian red or fleur de sel.
