Slow Cooked Spicy Braised Chicken Sausage

Cook Time: 4 hrs.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Prick sausages with fork a few times and sear for 5-6 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
Transfer sausages to slow cooker and place peppers and onions over top. Season with salt and pepper, cover and set to low for 4 hours. Internal temperature of sausage must reach 165°F.
Serve sausage and peppers in hoagie rolls or in warmed tortillas, garnished with a lime wedge and cilantro.
