Spaghetti and Barbecue Meatballs

Spaghetti with Barbecue Meatballs

Directions:

Preheat oven to 475°F. Combine rice cereal with eggs, milk, 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well, crushing cereal a little bit. Then add the ground beef and mix well. Form into 12 equal balls (about 2.5 ounces each) and place on a non-stick or foil-lined sheet pan and place in oven. Roast for 15 minutes or until they are cooked through.*

While the meatballs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and return to the pot with the remaining BBQ sauce, crushed tomatoes, and cooked meatballs. Cook over low heat for a few minutes, tossing to let flavors combine. Top with the shredded cheese and serve.

*For food safety, cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F.
