Vegan Sesame Orange Tempeh

In a large sauté pan, add canola oil and place over medium heat. In a medium mixing bowl, combine ingredients for breading mix and blend together until it forms a smooth batter.
Place strips of tempeh in the batter and gently coat.
At the same time, add sesame teriyaki sauce, juice and zest of 2 oranges to a sauce pan and warm over low heat.
Working in batches, place tempeh in hot oil and cook 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from oil and place on paper towel to remove extra oil.
Lightly coat the crispy tempeh with the sesame teriyaki sauce.
Place a serving of brown rice in the bottom of a bowl, add crispy tempeh on top, drizzle with more sauce if you like, and garish with scallions! Enjoy!
